Tell Congress: Rejoin the Paris Agreement

One of the first actions from the Trump administration was pulling out of the Paris Climate Accords -- a slap in the face of the American people. Now, with Democrats in the majority of the House, we have an opportunity to be proactive and pass a resolution to rejoin the Paris Agreement.

Sign the petition today and ask Congress to reaffirm America’s leadership on climate.

Petition Text:

Demand that your representative cosponsor H.Res. 15 to rejoin the Paris Agreement!

I write today to urge you to support H.Res. 15 as a cosponsor. Our community and country’s future depend upon leaders like you recommitting the United States to true global leadership on climate. Rejoining the Paris Agreement will reestablish America’s role as part of a global community -- and H.Res. 15 will help keep climate as a top priority political issue in the run up to the November 2020 election.

The U.S. should resume its leadership in the Paris Agreement. The climate crisis should be our #1 priority on an unprecedented level, beginning immediately, with stringent and enforceable benchmarks. We really have no choice if we value

life and health, continued access to water and food.

Thank you for doing what you can to make it happen!

This would be a reasonable and sane step in the right direction. Let’s join again the Paris Agreement.

My name is Charlotte Smith. I have recently discovered that Tecumseh is my 7th Great Uncle. As a descendant of many Chiefs who roamed North America freely, I feel the need to speak up for the continent once known as Turtle Island. In addition, I am a descendant of the first colonist families of America.

I feel deeply affected by the way the land, waters, and wildlife have been ignored by corporations with financial monopolies over the environment. I believe governments in both the United States, and Canada, must work together to create a “green” continent, as is happening in some European countries.

It is time to change the ways mankind has abused the planet, pushing wildlife to extinction at an unprecedented rate. Eventually this will affect humanity, If governments do not take heed of the warnings all over the globe.

These warnings are currently being shown through the environment, waters, air, pollinators, and wildlife. It is time for governments and corporations to work with nature, as it was created to exist, not against nature. I ask that the United States re-join the Paris Agreement to support a greener world.
