Donald Trump and his lackeys are undermining climate science every chance they get -- from withdrawing from the Paris Accords, to changing the methodology around pollution’s impact on public health, to attacking scientific projections on the far-reaching wrath of the climate crisis. Now he’s proposing to simply stop measuring climate science after 2040, telling homeowners and businesses who make decisions on 30 year terms “you’re on your own.”
Trump doesn’t care about the communities across the country that have been hit by severe drought, wildfires, and storms -- or those that will feel even harsher effects in the coming years. He’s only focused on lining the pockets of the Big Oil execs and coal barons who helped him get elected.
As climate hawks, we know that climate change’s impacts on our economy, health, and planet will be devastating if we don’t change course. Add your name here to reject Donald Trump’s attack on science!
Science is not up for debate. The climate crisis is here regardless of your administration’s attempted rewrite of facts.
Donald Trump has nominated Kelly Knight Craft as the next U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Knight Craft is married to a coal magnate and has poured millions in dirty coal money to Republicans, including big checks to Trump himself. What’s worse, she tries to claim that she believes in "both sides of the science" when it comes to climate.
As other world leaders work towards big goals of reducing emissions and transitioning to clean energy, Knight Craft is trying to play both sides of the biggest existential threat facing our planet. She belongs nowhere near the United Nations and would only further embarrass the U.S. on the world stage.
Sign the petition to urge the U.S. Senate to reject her confirmation before it’s too late.
I urge you to reject Kelly Knight Craft’s nomination to serve as ambassador to the United Nations. Knight Craft claims to believe “both sides” of the science around climate change despite overwhelming scientific evidence of only one side of this critical issue. Our country deserves better representation on the world stage than billionaires with thin resumes who contribute to the climate crisis and deny the scientific support for it. Thank you for your time and consideration.
