Do our lawmakers represent us, or do they represent oil companies?
Voters are fed up with lawmakers who side with Big Polluters. We’ve seen that lawmakers who accept large donations from oil companies and PACs are more likely to let us down on important issues.
Will those we elected protect our community and our families, or will they protect the profits of Big Polluters? Here’s how lawmakers can earn our trust: Fight for better laws – and stop taking oil money.
Sign your name immediately to tell lawmakers: You represent us, not big oil.
When lawmakers take oil money, they don’t stand up for regular people. With rare exception, the lawmakers backed by secretive PACs and oil companies are the ones who let us down most often. They stand in the way of critical climate legislation, and they’re the ones who make sure clean air and water proposals die in committee. But we elect legislators to stand up for communities and fight for our families, and we pay the price when they fail. Voters are fed up with the corrupting influence of oil money in politics, and we’re coming together to tell lawmakers it’s time for a change: Don’t take money from oil companies. Don’t go on trips paid for by oil companies. And most importantly: Back good legislation when it counts. When the going gets really tough – stay on our side, and lead.
