Sign Now: Prosecute Exxon For Deliberate Climate Denial

Prosecute ExxonNewly revealed documents show that Exxon’s own scientists were aware of and studying the dangerous impacts of greenhouse gases in the 1970s and 1980s -- until Exxon’s leadership decided to shut down the research and promote climate denial instead, in order to protect the company’s unfathomably large profits.

The United States Department of Justice has the power to prosecute Exxon’s deliberate deception under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act - just as the DOJ did to the tobacco industry for knowingly lying about the dangers of cigarette smoking.

Corporate greed over the health and well-being of the people and the planet should be punished. BigOil get tax breaks and loopholes while the communities they take over crumble and the schools suffer. Please don’t let them get away with crimes on humanity.

This crime is magnitudes above the tobacco cover-up. Deliberate endangerment and probable murder of possibly every person on Earth, and all of the other creatures on land and sea, and every plant on land and in the oceans; far beyond even genocide. I demand full and immediate restitution of what can be restored and cleanup of polluted sites, along with an immediate halt to all new drilling, fracking or mining. I also demand that producing oil wells and fields be cut by 25% production this year, and 25% next year. After the companies have paid for all of the restitution, they should be dissolved and none of the officers of the companies should ever be allowed to be on any boards or in management positions anywhere or for anything (my preference is that they should all be sentenced to be run through a shredder feet first: this could be a new punishment for extreme environmental horrors, but doubtful that would happen.) All of the people who have been parties to this deliberate cover-up of the killing must be prosecuted under charges that fully reflect the enormity of the crime. We must end this greed, corruption and total disregard for life itself on our planet immediately.
