Tell your Member of Congress: Oppose pay-go

SQUAWK LOUD TODAY. Tell your Representative: Vote NO on the PayGo rule. The House votes on Thursday, January 3.

Today has an extra hurdle. A lot of incoming freshman members of Congress don’t have working phone numbers yet -- today is moving day, they’re figuring out where to put the potted plants.

So, first try the main switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and ask for your member of Congress.

Then try tweeting at them -- they like to tweet!

The Climate Hawks Vote message: “If you support a #GreenNewDeal, vote NO on #PayGo tomorrow.” Then add in a member of Congress’ handle, or @USProgressives (for House Progressive Caucus), like this: “Hey @USProgressives vote NO on #PayGo to vote YES on a #GreenNewDeal.”

Here’s some high priority people to tweet, because they’re incoming members of Congress who have signed on to the Green New Deal. We’ve included a tweet from @ClimateHawkVote to retweet -- but it’s even better if you add in your own words!

Mike Levin, @mikelevinCA hey @MikeLevinCA vote NO on #PayGo to vote YES for a #GreenNewDeal.
