Hillary Clinton: Reject Fossil Fuel Contributions

At a Hillary Clinton rally on March 31, the presidential candidate lost her patience with a young Greenpeace activist, who thanked Clinton for her commitment to climate change and then asked her whether she'll reject fossil-fuel money. Pointing her finger at the activist, Secretary Clinton said she was "so sick of the Sanders campaign lying about me."

In fact, she is the only Democratic candidate who has not signed the Fix Democracy pledge rejecting fossil-fuel money, and her campaign and super PACs have received millions of dollars from fossil-fuel lobbyists and investors. Watch:

Clinton can show strong climate leadership by taking a clear stand against the dirty fossil-fuel interests investing in climate destruction.

"Refuse money from fossil-fuel interests and champion a people-powered democracy."

Good luck with Hillary Clinton. She’s proven herself to be on the wrong side of history time and time again. . .Too often for me to vote for her, , , It’s a moral thing.

There is no issue more pressing for Americans and the world at large than the certain — and certainly hellish — consequences of global climate change. No one understands this better than, for example, ExxonMobil, who arrived at this conclusion — then promptly swept it under the rug, to the detriment of humanity — 25 years ago. The fossil fuel industry, beyond any other, is a threat to the future of humanity. To accept political donations from it is to actively participate in and promote it. And despite all assertions to the contrary, any candidate who accepts such donations necessarily has her door open, should she win, to their entreaties and demands for a seat at the table where decisions are being made. Please declare that you will not accept donations from this industry, if for no other reason than for the future of your granddaughter.

    Sincerely, Mike Sheffer

I would like to believe that Hillary Clinton will be championing for the future of our planet and it’s inhabitants. Just do the right thing. Put greed aside. Tell all your associates in the oil business to invest in earth’s future so that your grandchildren and all of our grandchildren can lead a healthy life here on Earth. Make us proud.

Why are you refusing to sign this pledge? If you really care about climate change , then you should not be taking money from the fossil fuel industry .
