Exxon Petition to State AGs

Exxon knew about climate change in the 1970s. And surprise, surprise, they’ve been lying about it ever since -- they’ve spent tens of millions of dollars over the past forty years funding a climate denial industry that keeps the public in the dark and pressures lawmakers not to fix the problem.

We’re talking about what could be the largest case of fraud in human history.

New York State’s Attorney General already started an investigation. California’s AG started an investigation, and earned her a Climate Hawks Vote endorsement. Maryland's AG listened to your petition and started an investigation. Massachusetts’ AG started an investigation. Now AGs across the country are thinking about following suit. But they need to know that we’re watching, and that we demand they act now.

These sorts of investigations are what convinced America about the evil of Big Tobacco -- it’s time for Big Oil to get the same treatment.

So please, join the call: Exxon’s day in court has come -- they need to tell the truth in court, and face the consequences of their lies and fraud.

Launch a prosecution of Exxon and its fellow fossil-fuel companies for deliberate and malicious climate deception.

even though i am disabled, i can clearly see the issues… it was revealed that exxon, shell, bp et al KNEW about the environmental problems using fossil fuels! any and all inventions that either made the internal combustion engines run on a 1/16th of the fuel, or inventions rendering gas obsolete have been bought and shelved or the inventors “disappeared”! leave it in the ground!
