Congress is poised to vote on H. Con. Res. 119, which would condemn all carbon taxes as "detrimental to American families and businesses, and...not in the best interest of the United States.”

This is the upside down world of the Congressional Republican leadership.

Let's be clear: protecting clean air and our climate is obviously in the interest of the United States. While no silver bullet, if done right and fairly, a carbon tax would be a big step forward on the path to reaching net zero carbon emissions.

In contrast, the House resolution is a giant love note to the coal, oil, and gas industries and passing it would be a clear signal that Congress is in their pockets. And Republicans in the Climate Solutions Caucus — the climate peacocks — must vote NO if they are to have any credibility.

Add your name right now to demand that Congress vote NO on the anti-carbon-tax resolution.

The House resolution better not be in the pockets of the industries of oil, coal, and gas.

They are SUPPOSED to be in “our hands” to help support and protect the people and land of this country.

The whole Trump Administration has been a “nightmare” to the citizens of the US and the sooner that he “leaves”, the better. The only bad part of that is that unless the entire cabinet is impeached, we will be STUCK with Mr. Pence, who might just be as “dangerous” as Donald has been.

Let us get back on track and start by NOT letting the resolution pass. Then

we can talk about we talk about all the “upset” that has occurred environmentally due to the avarice and cruelty of the Republicans who “worship” Donald.

This valley would be unlivable if we did not have the Clean Air Act. They used to burn rice down by the Sacramento Airport and I almost choked to death
